Puzzles Change

By Cherry Bear

Frosted glass of icy days
Linger on memory lane
Skipping stones on frozen lakes
Forgetting the hours of play
Spinning tires and four wheel drive
Lost forever in the fields of time
Friends grow old
They grow cold
Some will last longer then this place
While others parish in the losing light
True one stand ready to fight

First kisses first hugs
the first time you felt loved
The first heart brake
The darkest hour
Holding on to count the tears
take the pain and turn out strong
Just to find the one true love

People leave and places change
Puzzles grow and are never the same
Home is where you make it and not in the past
Spending a life to learn this lesson
To know its true only in the nick of time
Saving yourself from corny phrases
On how life should be
Stop comparing and look at the plus
You are who you make yourself and that enough.

Yup...yup...I shall make this my comment worthy poem for the night...because...well...because it is beautiful like warm rain. I like it all...as it flows so evenly and my tongue enjoyed the ride around the wonderfully placed rhyme. Was like saying that MarryPoppins thing....only better. And I agree with Rain...needs more comments. I mean...it's sad when good poetry gets hid in the shadows of an "in the box" reading habit. OH....and how special that Spider must feel to have such a poem dedicated to her!
