Shadows & Roses

By Midnight Phoenix

Watch as I disappear into the shadows solo
Will you follow me or will you take the tracks home
Feel the wind blow by so forceful, I’ll take a ride
Wings spread like an insect waving goodbye

There’ll never be another time to decide
Always the thoughts were paralyzed
There is nothing left to hide

There’ll never be another mistake
No more promises to break
I’ll take the roses with me this time

Listen to the quiet sound of the footsteps retreat
I’ll advance into the light until my eyes bleed
Feel the wind blow by so forceful, I’ll take a ride
Wings spread like an insect waving goodbye

Now let go

This is the last thing I feel. This is the last thing I feel.
This is the last thing I feel. This is the last thing I feel.
This is the last thing…

There’ll never be another time to decide
Always the thoughts were paralyzed
There is nothing left to hide

There’ll never be another mistake
No more promises to break
I’ll take the roses with me this time
