diSTRESS

By meadowlea

From 300 kilometres away
I wonder how she is feeling today
A fortnight ago to her house we were bound
Wondering hoping that what was in my mind would not be found
A sister lying in her bed close to death
We arrived to find she was so stressed she could hardly draw breath
That night she slept no smokes or coffee through the night
So tired stressed she slept dressed cuddled up tight
Stressed depressed she couldn’t even drive
With just smokes and coffee keeping her alive
Alone in a house half unpacked
Edgy tired stressed & trapped
At least her daughter and grandson will now visit
Patiently she waits for her sons & granddaughters to do it
Must she always make the move when she can hardly drive
Plenty of public transport her children could help her thrive
Never mind her sister & nephew from 300 kilometres away in a town
Will help her sort her stuff & move it from the shed to bring it down
