Posthumous Embrace
By TheUltimateOutlaw
Some time ago,
Love dwelt here
Amid
The feathers and the sheets;
The prowess of its
Sorcery
Such that all ill decisions
Seemed righteous and sublime.
Now, we who once did
So avow
Our bodies of a harmony
As yet
Untouched by
Dissonance
Have hastened our own
End
With our innocence.
For, to conceive of such
Joy
Is in essence to destroy it.
All posthumous embraces
Are forever tinged
With menace.
Our arms are no longer safe.

I like this one, it feels as though we defile something that is pure by attempting to obtain it. Unless of course I'm babbling on again about something completely off topic. But that's what it seemed like, and I enjoyed it. So, *tips hat*
