Summer leaves Autumn enters

By meadowlea

The days grow dark earlier each day
Many a tear has dropped down my cheek
Because of the husband who left me here to pay
For his funeral because his mind was weak

As summer leaves us autumn begins
So the time is upon us again for reflection
Soon it will be time to turn the clocks back
A son will remember the day he went back
To change a clock for Stu
But found a body with a horrible hue

A dark day forever leaves a damaged mind
Perhaps upon reflection Stu might find
The decision he made that day
Would cause a tear that can’t be put right
Lives ripped apart, minds hurt, and people fight

I wonder if in the hereafter he found peace
He got to meet his father at least.
All because of a whim
But now his mum and nan have joined him

Wow, This is a very heart wrenching write. I really like the way you incorporated the story to go along with the changing of the seasons. Very well done! -Heather-
