Palace of Night
By FallenSky
Under ebon stars, I’m weeping
For my love.
Her portrait of light,
So telling of her ghostly grace,
Beckons me towards distant shores
Across a lonely sea
Under the moon I lay
As I’m searching
For a memory that evades me
Like a cloud.
I’m washed away by a sad song
Dying in the wind
Neath fallen embers of a nighttime sky
I am traveling an endless sea
Alone.
The tragedy of time itself
Is more profound than these thousand nights
Cascading before me
I’ve heard the mists of mourning
Whisper my name
Entwined with reverent words,
Outlined in myriad dialects
In the aesthetic halls of future’s bane.
Though perhaps I have been deaf,
I can still hear them echo.
Amongst a choir of wolves
Evensong reigns
And the silent anthem of sorrow
Is braided with their song of night,
Its chorus resounding in the shadows
Until it’s washed away
Wrapped in robes of dusk, I’m waiting
For my morningrise
To replace my sweat with dew,
And for a passion-scented blossom
To show me its innocent truth
For I fear I have forgotten

This poem was so real i could taste it...very deep writing here. And to bear your soul so openly yet still in disguise is truely a talent
