Random madness, in the wake of my fall.
By pushblood
Random madness, in the wake of my fall.
A road I have driven many times before.
Tired and falling a sleep at the wheel.
Two inches away from the guard rail,
I pull over
A moment to catch my breath and sleep,
Steep turns into a slippery Icy path.
Fighting midgets in the snow,
And a small turtle with a love affair.
Beautiful snowy creatures play.
My body hurts.
The stress,
The drama,
The gross feeling inside,
Drifting further and further away from reality,
In to the icy river,
Numb??..
Too numb to scream,
Too numb to fight,
On the crystal ship she plays her flute for my mind.
I can feel but I'm not alive.
Drifting down the frozen ravine of time.
Torn dreams,
Sick and stolen,
Waves crash from above the heavens,
Blind,
Bleeding,
Mothers love to the left,
Father's hate on the right,
The siblings sit in the corner and laugh.
The animals avoid you,
Cause you are the plague.
A disease in the flesh,
Blind and bleeding,
Still needing,
Left for dead,
And still????.

I really enjoy how this work expands and contracts. It mimics the unpredictable patterns of the sleeping subconscious mind.

Wow, what a rush! A rather "slam bam" cacophany of images in my head, slowly growing, until that final stanza causes it all to settle and fade away... well written piece!
