Still Afraid

By Midnight Phoenix

Thrown away to a world unknown blanketed by beauty concealed in mist
So hard to breath so taken into the calm
The white noise caressing anguish
Purest hands softly climb through my hair
As I cease to fade

I beg her to stay, with touch so disarming so reviving
She turns away with a smile as I continue to fade
Dancing and gliding through the mist I follow
Watching her bright sapphire eyes

She pauses as I crawl nearer holding my last breath
Calling out to her as time slips to nothingness
No words come from my dry lips, only dust
As she fades away
