Emotion

By meadowlea

You don’t show emotion they taught us
Kisses and cuddles weren’t for us
Show emotion never
So we live emotions bottled up inside us forever
Those emotions that you would have us show
We have them inside us did you know
Love hate dislike disappointment happiness grief pride
Always bottled up inside
We tried to make it different for our kids we really tried
What did we get for our efforts?
A child with a broken mind, suicide attempts is how he tries
Others turn their back mummy doesn’t say yes to their cries
We feel each others pain, ESP runs through our veins
We know the child with the broken mind has it
We think the most intelligent has it too but does he know it
So we build a wall to hide behind maybe they were right
Emotion should be kept out of sight
It only causes pain
That leaves us to cry in the rain
