Watching the stars.

By Ozymandias

Watching the stars
Slowly fade from the sky
I lie here alone,
Refusing to say good-bye.
Out of options in this hopeless struggle,
I breathe one long sigh.
The hardest thing I’ve had to do,
Is watch our love die.

And through the falling rain,
Come memories of the love we shared
Your beautiful smile still clear in my mind;
I wonder how long it will be,
Until we no longer care.

If I could just hold you in my arms
And kiss you once more,
I know my nights
Wouldn’t be so long,
And my heart
Wouldn’t be so sore.

Seek your happiness,
In everything you do.
And trust in my word,
That my love is true.
And after you leave,
I promise
To stay close with you.

Devoted to my girlfriend Mary,
who is worried that I will shut her out when she moves.
