Forever is not endless

By Spiritus_Frumenti

Forever is not endless,
In the same way that love is not peace
By the manner in which life hands you truths
so overly crushing and bleak

Everlasting could not be,
In worlds where clouds conceal the sky’s intent
Blown by winds made entirely
of what moves every soul’s descent

Immortality is not what is survived
after our dreams decay
By the ruins of our whispers
By the places where our buried hopes are kept

Always hurts because pain feels timeless,
Like there’s nothing more prolonging
than a wound in our hearts,
Nothing more eternal
than a suffering that ends a life forever….

"Immortality is not what is survived after our dreams decay".. these words are so full of truth and wisdom, written so eloquently. Nothing seems to last forever, other than pain. Very well done, I love this.
