Selene

By Polaris

Helios retires and you seize the sky
Ebbing tides of phosphorescence
I gaze unto you catatonic
Entrapped by your luminescence

As you descend and gaze upon me
I shudder in your presence
Your calming touch dissolves my fears
As we commence our coalescence

I absolutely adore mythology and this was an excellent write. It was very mythcal and enchanting in the way you've so perfectly described everything. It truly was captivating. Thank you for recommending this piece. I am so glad I got a chance to find it. This is one true piece of art. Brava!!

Well done P. and truly captivating in it's acutely accurate brevity (says a lot with little). Oh, and perhaps "catatonic" maybe? Not sure...Thanks !

Thank you. And thanks for pointing that out. I had forgot to fix it before submitting it.
