  • "I think you are referring to those who are too busy living / working, to pay attention to the socio-political: the word police, the dog whistles, the mind games. Those most irksome to me are the ones who just "got lucky". I know - chance favors the prepared mind. But the elitist cognoscenti who would seek to control us based on undeserved accomplishments. Usually genetic accidents. Cheers my friend and sorry to have missed this earlier - Dan "

  • "Extremes and opposites abound in this short but effective poem DT. Guessing we abhor mediocrity and predictability too perhaps. We are a confusing package to unwrap - cheers! - Dan"

  • "Enjoyed your ABAB rhymed quatrains that improved as things progressed DT. An interesting philosophy and who is to say? We'll find out eventually , but will we know it when we do I wonder? Cheers! - Dan"

  • "Almost sounds like a bond that needs to be broken DT - yet there are other considerations and attractions that maintain the connection in all of its misery. A sad but all too commonplace, mutual disintegration declaration maybe. Enjoyed your unforced, rhymed couplets in quatrains (or whatever they call it). Cheers! - Dan"

  • "Hurt so good and maybe someday I'll sally forth and dabble in something beyond "the missionary". Kidding DT - this was great and the reader can feel the enticement, well done!"

  • "DT - this was def a different kind of love from the sound of it. Two people re-inforcing perhaps the darkest and demented deviations in a mutual pact of destruction and revulsion. Never investigated that aspect of a relationship, oh well. Sounds like it works for you both; be well. "

  • "Intrigued by the many internal rhymes going on inside this piece DT; almost a rap of sorts. Nevertheless, a very entertaining and insightful read, writ with a volcanic bitterness before the eruption. Well done! (they don't always follow the Hollywood script)"
