  • "this is sad but beautiful all at the same time. when i die, i hope to fertilize the soil in which new life forms. how significant. i am going to switch your authors note. even out of the most gruesome things, beauty can be found. may i have the roots of the trees growing through these eyeball sockets so i may flourish even in death :) peace to you my friend!"

  • "This poem could also be interpreted as a statement on keeping our streets clean, there's no reason why the places we live should resemble a war zone. Good job."

  • "This makes me think of the bond of brotherhood between soldiers uniting and fighting for the greater good for their country's future generations. A bond I will never experience because it's formed from shared sacrifices, loses, trauma, the greatest of hardships. "

  • "Thanks :) I believe a country's anthem should make people feel pumped up with pride. For example, listen to the Russian national anthem, or this song called "Sacred War." Makes me feel like I can take on a country. Hahahaha."

  • "I love your passion for history, politics and war. I can really feel it in this poem. Wish I knew more about war history so I could have more insightful things to say. But I think you wrote this well and you have given your reader some of your special insights into these matters. Thank you. "

  • "Cool write man. I dig watching documentaries when they interview the actual soldiers who fought in the wars. What they say about their personal experiences of it is always so interesting. PTS is usually a pretty big part of it... Some scary shit. Seeing old men crying when talking about something they saw happen so many years ago. They will never be able to forget it. Hectic. "

  • "You really can get into that state of mind my soldier. Your deep connection to something you have never experienced yourself amazes me. It's extraordinary. Liked how you tired the beginning and end together: nice day to go out and enjoy it but it's a nice day so better to stay in so I don't ruin it. Clever☆"

  • "Yeah, I totally know what you mean. Stalin ruled by fear, which is why so many Soviet soldiers died. It was either the Germans' bullets or their own."
