  • "*sighs* sweet bitter sweet... memories of melancholy... what time does to fond recollections, how they become otherworldly, and distant in ways I'll never become accustomed to, yet near as just the other day in ways I can feel when I close my eyes. You convey these feelings gracefully. thank you."

  • "I love the title of this poem. So perfect, and the rest of the piece corresponds perfectly. "I'll pull you out on long rides tossing and turning you now as you did me then" stunning."

  • "interesting... I had to wonder what it is that this extra-ness is... the egg tooth... the lizard mind... such oddities for me, so alien... the tooth that punctures the egg, the symbol of life/rebirth... the future that is eaten? and the lizard mind, makes me think of Morrison... "I am the lizard king...I can do anything" I think, are lyrics from 'the end'. this force, this essence of sorts that we hide, that we tuck inside our egos, our personalities and the roles we must assume as social beings, this extra-ness from which every impetus for religion must be born? I can't help but think of will to power and Nietzsche... where this thriving energy to impose one's life in the future, sustenance and perseverance, this energy is so often unconscious... and when it is made aware, when one can harness this chi, one must establish an aura of sorts... a confidence that rises above the average, maybe. An aura that one can see... or sense... and cannot help but believe, maybe. very thought provoking... I think I've sensed this... perhaps something of authenticity. thank you. "

  • "mumus? a bad brunch indeed... told rhetorically, with a mind for the reader to be led, but not directed... you avoid the expository tone quite well, creating merely an outline of an event, leaving the mind of the reader to be engaged and requiring active reading. thank you for writing for the intellect...I can only wonder what she dared to say or do, but I can picture the door swinging wide as they made their way out. oh, and brandy at brunch, haha, that seems to suggest, to me, that the company required assistance to be palatable, maybe. • "Me and my wife's first pet was a bearded dragon named Rathi and my wife loved her so much all our friends called her the lizard queen. I figured I would give you a little story since Dybbuk gave such a great critique of your work, great write."

  • "hmmm... I think Nietzsche would argue that the mind cannot resist creating fictions... assumptions of meaning, of truth and rightness, of purpose and substance, that provide solace and comfort while we struggle to live even as we watch everything around us die or change into what it wasn't... but then, that's why he's Nietzsche, and that's why he called for a re-evaluation of all values, maybe... perhaps non fiction is really predicated upon fiction? His Copernican revolution in value theory. There is a book called 'Tool Being' http://books.google.com/books/about/Tool_Being.html?id=XvkzX9JnlAwC that is Heideggerian in premise... I think you may have suggested the lizard mind regards the world as 'tool being' or rather... as having the significance of a tool... and existing for the use and application of the lizard mind, maybe. interesting words, open and full of possibility even as they are definite and specifically selected. thank you for sharing your mind and feelings... I can appreciate them both from great distances."

  • "funny how some will impose upon others their own life choices... like choosing to be ignorant means we should ridicule those who strive to avoid such an unfortunate fate :) but then... maybe it's a little more complicated? Does this mean everyone's riddle is significantly different, or just that some riddles are just less ubiquitous than others? thoughtful work. I like epigrams... it takes wit and intellect to create something that speaks volumes in a few words... unlike others who say nothing and have the whole rhyming dictionary at their finger tips. I think 'is' should be 'are'... 'conclusions'? thanks for your thoughts."

  • "tis summer that makes cowards of us all? the june doldrums? Or is this the complacency of summer that sets over the persona... now this is a description of jaded, maybe? This, to me, has a political point... seems like november is on the line as one just bides one's time... couch bound in summer, that's a bad sign. Thanks for the thoughtful words."
