When a brunch goes bad

By cadymae

The false bright hellos
were frosty by brandy time

colorĀ  high under the
Avon blush of middle-age

"how dare she" huffed against
the etched glass double doors

Regrets for next time
already being drafted
as Charlie drove down the road.
