- "I am blown away by your mastery of "show-not-tell" with your original, unique images - like holding secrets like boiling water but being given away by the burns. "red handed" gets a second meaning in this light as it could also describe the hands burned red from holding secrets. With brilliant metaphors like this one, you have written a memorable experience that hints at a relationship deeply damaged - just as the title would suggest. Thanks for sharing. Write on. -cheryl"

- "I agree. That's the part thtat struck me about this piece. At first I was caught in the idea of sobriety and intoxication as a dualist nature. Upon reflection, instead it's the being caught between doing for others and doing for self that presents this duality.
Hence; to try.
So subversive.
What a great piece."

- "I liked the way the boiling water, the red hands and burns... the lost skin... all worked in tandem, bringing about that pit, maybe... burning alive in fear. just checking. to see if it's cooked, maybe. thanks."

- "You have the rare gift of being able to write poetry. There is no line here that I feel the need to quote. I just find, when I read your works, I fall into them. I can't tell why, but reading your poems just hits the right note every freaking time. Predictably fantastic. This happens with precious few poets I've read. You are marvelous, truly. I look forward to your next work, whenever it might appear. "

- "ah, so very well wrought. I thoroughly enjoyed the figures here, tropologically rich... mapping out an addiction, the power of the pen, the will of the word. and poetry erupts in rhythms bellowed at the sky... well done. *bows* thanks."
