Empty Bed

By SalemLex

Every night I go home to an empty bed.
I must endure sleeping alone.
It pains me everyday.
I drink to dull the pain.
Stay out all night.
Finally when I get to bed,
I don’t care anymore.

Every night I go home to an empty bed.
There’s no one to hold me.
Alone I lay, hurting.
Wanting not to think anymore.
Wishing it will all just end.
Feeling the loneliness,
Slowly destroying my will.

Every night I go home to an empty bed.
Please somebody sedate me.
If not I’ll lay here awake,
Wishing someone was here with me.
Why must I be alone now.
Its just not fair that every night
I sleep alone in my empty bed.
