Annabelle on my mind...
By asphyxia
...the closet door opened wide,
though took too long to find her favorite place to hide.
..
Run so far in fields of daisies,
the sun so bright and shining.
Golden curls wisp in the air.
The sky: no clouds of any type of lining.
Run so far till the heart
beats hard against the chest.
Twelve foot waves rolling,
thrumming the mighty shoreline’s crest*
The captain is a bastard-
a pervert at his best.
He took the silver…
and then he brought it to its rest.
He raised the heavy anchor,
yelled out, “Ready. Set. Go.”
Launched one thousand miles
the rhythm of the flow.
I threw my body left
and watched myself fall to sea.
A completely new song.
A broken melody.
The pounding of the soul,
minus one big part of me.
I cannot count the time.
Drift around, aimlessly.
The flow, it has a jewel.
It sings as loud as she.
Until I hear that voice,
I am but lost at sea.
*Crest as in a visible symbol representing an abstract idea; “Thrumming
the crest” as in the shoreline’s heart; as in the shoreline’s love,
rather, ability to love.
...having problems finding the exact date of creation, will edit later.
