Sew My Wounds
By glasshouse
Sew my wounds with laughter
And stitch my heart
With bleeding hands
Just to show your love
In shades of crimson
Tangle me a spider’s web
To catch your fleeting gaze with
And I will reside therein
Simply waiting for the kill
I promise not to leave you wanting more
Sing a song
When music fails
And write three words
That lie
And I will never look again
Upon your wond’ring eye
Pacify my every want
With deceiving bits
Of grace
And I will never pry beyond
The stone that is your face
Kill me with simplicity
That holds no shard
Of truth
And I will always cherish that
Which holds a thread of you.
You sew my wounds.

Yes, the occasional rhyme and the soft beating rhythms giving depth a vague structure made this such a beauty to read. I feel the same way about this boy I love. His power to hurt is equal only to his power to heal.
