Still strong.

By SilentDreamer

I watch as time lingers past
My fingers flying as I reply to your comments
A light feelings soaring from deep within
Renewed now
I laugh as your long lost humor is found
Thoughts flicker to the day ahead
Knowing I should sleep... my fingers fly faster
I wait as you reply
Nothing else matters
It's you and me... me and you
Talking after many long years
A bond shared then... still strong years later
Mind wonders back to the past
The times we shared
Flashing back faster and faster

Your voice floods my ears
Warm, familiar, and safe
I smile as your voice rings true in my ear
Listening to you deep mellow tones
I wonder
How things could have been
How they might have ended
What about now

Your closing words grasp me
Wrap around me
Filling me
With childhood memories
Same words fall that fell from your lips years ago
The click of the phone
The light feeling fading as I remember how things are now
I smile at the warm feeling buzzing through me
Darkness floods over me and I dream of you tonight

A misunderstood social life. I hope you take pride in these emotions that you're able to feel, as most are more or less barbaric.
