Talk to Me

By Kali Ma

"Talk to me" but words are meaningless
you speak but only emotions are felt:
anger and disappointment course through my veins
every encounter with you sets me alight.

Why do we subject ourselves
to this constant torture?
We rage and scream and cry
to fall to the ground exhausted.

I am so deathly tired of this anguish,
please just leave it at that,
A cold look and distant eyes
nothing is penetrating this disguise.

I have felt all I had to feel
Why are you still here?
