The Mannequin Sings
By Rebel_not_Radical
I'd trickle tears of glitter
From my black-bead eyes,
Breeze-craving windows to my soul
Sewn to my integrity
Because when you whisk and cut my pullstring
In broken notes i shall resonate
"love me"
And i'll keep those tears forever
I'll affix them as crestfallen sequins
In front of my dilapidated doll-tux
That'll patch my emotions
Or what other people call my stuffings
So when you shake me violently
(maybe i'll lose an eye)
I'll still be smiling
With a threadbare beam
And no...
That aint avant garde my dears

The large spaces between the stanzas helps to echo the feeling of emptiness and loneliness. Excellent work. :3

"That'll patch my emotions, or what other people call my stuffings." Truthful & very beautiful write. Very good job on this one. The imagery was tantalizing.
