Interlude of the Void
By Eric
Speak
Speak a word
Until its been spoken too much
Play
Play a note
Until its played for too long
Feel
Feel the fringe of existence
Until every nerve across the vastness of body has been touched for too
long
See
See red mix with blue
Until all has turned to gray
Hear
Hear the last note
Until silence consumes the lingering strands of sound
Exist
Exist to cease
Cease to exist
All is one
In the end

Wow. Can I ask what inspired this poem? I love it! "Until every nerve across the vastness of body has been touched for too long" The poem is simple and THAT'S what makes it genuinely beautiful... +Hannah+

Actually I was inspired to write this while listening to Brian Eno's "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks"

This was summed up so well into a universal truth. No matter what you do, or to what extreme you do it, we are all the same in the end. Great. ....-samone

Very deep and lurring progression with a spooky sense of sudden absolution. Very graceful.
