We Are All Lost in the Dark

By Fading_Smile

You're lost in the dark
with a sign that says "Help Me"
and I'm crawling on the ground
feeling for moisture so I might
follow your trail of tears

But that's near impossible when
I'm standing in a puddle of my own
with wide eyed remembrance

If only tears were flammable
cremation is a small sacrifice for reunitment

I used my last match just to
see the rainbow made by the mixture
of your liquid pain with my own

I want to find you, I need to find you
light a flare, your black-light smile

From my makeshift blood-trickle compass
to the scarred map on my arm
I'm lost in the thought
that I've lost you

I'm yelling the same joke
into the never-ending abyss of darkness
hoping to hear you laugh

Knock-knock suicide
I'll lose my mind but not you

Not here

Light is foreign, more like forgotten
I'm praying to spontaneously combust
in hope the last thing I see is you

Black turned grey, grey turned red
just as night turned morning
you found me and took me home

One night can be an eternity

You burn brighter than the sun
for that reason im blinded
I stared at you too long

I'm hiding in the dark
with a sign that says "Not Here"

My vision's long gone
and my eyes forever dry
But you found me that day
and you let me say
GOODBYE
