I'll Believe the Words

By Shewolf

Go ahead, say it
There’s just the two of us.
Tell me you don’t Love me
As we lie atop
Damp, Tangled Sheets
Of spent Passion.
Wrap me in the cold
Vampyric Embrace of Words
Cruel Enough
To turn my lava filled veins
To Ice
To turn my heart
( which only beats for you)
Into a cold, lifeless stone.
Tell me the Lie
Paint my Soul
With the dust of it.
I’ll believe the words
Even though your Touch
And the windows to your Soul
Speak the Truth.
