Echoing and beating at my soul
I'm screaming back
But all eyes are focused right through my heart
Your ominous shadow cast over my emotions
Dominating my imagination with false hope
... "This time it'll be different" says my foolish mind
But the whispers lash out with the truth
I'm not good enough to change for
"Why aren't I good enough to change for?"
Another soft broken promise slips through your soft broken lips
And I succumb to caustic whims that you spread my legs with
And I can't understand how you've done it again
Why I let you in
Why with you sin is prayer and prayer is sin
