Waiting for Sunday

By Muse

Bleeding eyes grace porcelain features
Reflective crimson tears trek down my cheeks
All because I think of you
Day in, Day out
And as Cerberus mangles souls in Hell,
So your memory rips at my heart

Because I miss you, this is what I have become
Longing haunts my soul for eternity and a day
Yet all that I can do is wait

I ache for your touch, my love
My mind teases me with taunting memories of your lips
A flash of dark hair reminds me...
Oh, how I love to run my fingers through it!

Every day I shall yearn for Sunday
Joy will know no bounds only then
When the roar of the Mustang rattles the windows,
Euphoria will take over at your presence
And memories created will remain until my dying day

But when you leave, I can only plead otherwise
A few moments means lifetimes with you
Or even better...
Take me with you
Together we can challenge the stars
Side by side, we will defy gravity and laws

Alas, we must deal a few years longer
Torturous distance, why must you torment us so??
Until my days are fantasized away and we are forever together,
I shall dream of our Sunday

"I shall DREAM of sunday". Such distilled heart-fixing skill at play all over the board here. Dude, this was great, but what strikes me so is the potential for... well... Great potetential. I want to see you grow into a poetic monster, dude. Wonderful
