Historically Speaking of Love
By johntaiyu
Having been
of the view
that
love
is an easy commodity
to acquire,
historically speaking
I have always
been
a
very good
boyfriend.
That is to say,
a better boyfriend
than
a husband.
Which is so
because
what I always took
for love
was instead
something else.
That something else
had to do with
the foolish conviction
that in
the you
de jure
there was
utter
and complete
salvation
from suffering,
an idea
that in all cases
doomed the us
that we were,
to a bitter end.
But,
you know
just because
I sought
the everything
you were supposed to
give
doesn't mean
I wasn't
deeply
in
love
with
every
one
of
you.
But you know all this
of course
because
you did
the same
damn
thing.
Every
one
of
you.

You speak your feelings so fluently, this is true poetic articulation.
