How Would you Remember Me?

By Shewolf

If I closed my eyes Forever
How would you remember me?
Would you remember nights
Of drunken Laughter, Music
Of playful wrestling
That oft turned Sensual?
Would you remember me
Holding you when you cried
Of knowing you without Judging
Of understanding You?
Of feeling your pain as if it were my own?
Or
If I closed my eyes Forever
Would you remember me with Regret?
Or
If you wrote my epitaph
What would you say?
Kind words that mean nothing?
or would you portray me
on my stone
with the eloquence
that so becomes You?
Whatever you inscribe
add the words
"She Loved Me"
For there is nothing so permanant
as that
Which is Chiseled in Stone.

This is amazing. I would remember you as the person who wrote a poem and completely left me speechless.
