Steel Kisses flesh,
and leaves a mark.
A sign of affection,
but not enough.

harder, commanding.
Flesh peals apart,
revealing softer flesh within.

this time is rewarded.

red as a heart,

by eyes of the flesh.

to a heathen god.

with soot it is tarnished.
