Kiss

By Nail Bunny

Steel Kisses flesh,
and leaves a mark.
A sign of affection,
but not enough.
Steel kisses flesh,
harder, commanding.
Flesh peals apart,
revealing softer flesh within.
Steel kisses flesh,
this time is rewarded.

Blood seeps from flesh,
red as a heart,
in a child's drawing.
Blood seeps from flesh,
the result of a kiss.
Blood seeps from flesh,
and in turn is taken,
scraped away on the blade
of kissing steel.

Steel coated in blood,
object of fascination
stared at in wonder,
by eyes of the flesh.
Steel coated in blood,
held over a candle,
sacrifice of virgin's blood,
to a heathen god.

Blood stains the steel,
with soot it is tarnished.
Blood stains the steel,
standing as proof
of the actions of the flesh.

A Shivering tale, but It was clever how you mention steel throughout it all and bring it into our perception at the very end on it. :) Nice write.
