Prison Talk to Burn
By VenomPlease
I am universally wired
Surrounded on all four sides
An invisible force-field of hostility at each cardinal point
and woven inbetween at the seams of my personal penitentiary
Antagonistic watchtowers extend above my comfort zone
The enemy waits to gun me down
Accidental kindness leads to
death by sarcastic bullet
Lead with a smartass mouth
Push me out and far away
I sit in my prison fishing the day away
Cast a line out with my heart as bait
Reel me in a couple foes for fun
I will never measure up
Eccentric and dully disconnected
Try to show compassion and they fashion up excuses
When I'm the one who's justified
I'm frankly disconcerned
Cause no one knows just was it is
To Burn
The way I've burned

Wow this was raw and yet in a carefully pieced out kind of way. I can completely relate to this. Maybe we've been fishing with the wrong tackle or something. Hmm. Very much enjoyed. ~Ship!
