Fading Away

I meet someone
shy at first
I most likely will not say the first word
even if I did
it still feels awkward to me

After just a few days
I start thinking
I begin to realize I like hanging with the person
I start hanging out more often
and I make them more involved in my life

I gather the new found friend
with my other friends as well
suddenly the slight bond we gain fades away
I was good only to comfort you temporarily
and care all I do
up until someone else just comes around
I await another to eventually do the same thing to me again

Try to meet new people
I give them time
I show I care
but they all end up just fading away
