the devil sold my soul
By Nuada
The devil sold my soul.
I can see why.
It's old and worn. It's had miles of use and
years of abuse.
He has plenty to choose from.
why take a used one?
Sound reasoning I suppose.
This one has seen death and drugs
and a few "small little wars"
Some of his tricks would be so old hat.
Why take an old one and be forced
to work up new tricks.
When a nice shiny new one is untempered to
his charms
So in a blink of an eye
and a shake of the hand.
The devil sold my soul
for a two bit cigar
and a room full of ice.
Wiping his brow with a now
ice cold rag.
He mutters under his breath
I'm getting to old for this.
