Would You Hate Me?

By Gideon Lost

Would you hate me
If I let you lay
In the bed you made?
If I made you sleep
With her?
Entwined
As I slither around your head
Looking away
As she touches you
Would you see
What you do?
If I pried back your eyelids
From inside your thoughts
Would you hear my voice
Stopping short of pursed lips?
Wanting to scream your lie to the world
With hot breaths from jealous lungs
Swallowing them down
With a hard Gulp
And feeling them boil in my stomach
Wondering if they can sustain me
I am fat with envy
On a powerless binge
Pulling the sheets over my head
