halloween & the 24th of january

By shortandpretentious

slouched but tightly holding your hand
in mine we walked at the same
pace the click of your shoes echoed
across the bridge you straightened mentioned
similar strides perfect copies really

that couple walks to their own electric
internal beat laughing love
maybe, when i saw you later that night
i picked up my pace and started to run

Really this is highly commendable writing, the style and its candid brief expression...it is truly a defining piece of work, well rounded and strangely hauntingly enchanting, suits the halloween part i suppose :)
