Survival Inside

By island warrior

Trickle from my mind
To the deep pool inside
Spill out in verse
Reaching with the tide

Forever creeping
Through thickening jungle
Exposing the roots
Upon which I have stumbled

Searching again
Lost but alive
Fueled by curiosity
And the need to survive

Instinct my guide
And the desire to fly
Must follow the path
That leads to the sky

Thank you for your post under "My Angel Has Flown". I really like this one of yours, it is short but to the point. It's a very beautiful poem.
