Fading Scar

By FallenFaith

Verse 1
If I could just forget about you,
then maybe I could start to heal,
it's just so hard to get you off my mind,
I try but I can't help the way I feel,
I think about the things that I did wrong,
and how else it could have been,
I tell myself that I don't want you back,
but in my heart I want to hold you again.
chorus
This is something you may never know,
but I'll say it anyways,
if there's one thing that I can show,
it's how your love won't go away,
everytime I think about you,
I see your innocent smile,
not the things that you put me through,
this scar won't fade for awhile.
verse 2
I did my best to keep you happy,
everything within my power was never enough,
I didn't even see this coming,
you just walked out as soon as things got rough,
and now that all the odds are against me,
I've finally started to realize,
the reason that we had no future,
is that you would never compromise.
chorus
