Vegas Nights

By shortandpretentious

It's cold, but the leaves haven't fallen yet.
I hope tonight, somewhere on campus,
a single leaf breaks free, falls, and dies.

The other leaves, in honor of its martyrdom,
will follow suit,
leaving branches behind in favor of bigger, better things.
