Shimmering Dark

By SilverPagan

Angel of death come light a candle with me
Take my heart and set me free
Broken wings show me the way
Misery and despair the company we keep
The candle burns, but dark and bleak
Shadows of light so soft and deep
Ashes and dust we sow what we reap
Shadows and shimmering light
Just cuts on my wrist, a bloody sight
Pools in crimson red
As I bow mt head to the darkness where I am led
As the angel of death sets me free
As the price is paid for darkness belongs to me
The angel of death takes me
Embraces my soul
Emersed in the pool of blood
That now shimmers in the candle lights
Glow.
