Distance

By Savannah

Though our time apart may test my strength,
It can never touch my love.
And though you seem so far away,
You must be close enough.

You are close enough to hold my heart,
And banish all my fears.
Close enough to make me smile,
And wipe away my tears.

Too far to touch my hand sometimes,
But still you warm my skin.
I can't wait to go to sleep at night,
To see you once again.

Because you always visit in my dreams,
And you're in my head all day.
You're close enough to make me think,
You're not so far away.

I haven't quite finished this one yet, but I posted it anyway.
