Love's Pain and Torment

By Mischevious Princess

My heart's been broken...
I heard it shatter...
I felt it tear.

I look into the mirror...
I see tears streaming down...
I hear sniffles...
I taste salt.

I've never been "worthy"
of anyone...
I guess you're my proof.

My eyes sting,
I've no more tears to shed.

You should be more careful,
I tell myself...
less likely of getting hurt!
