What happened?

By Lifeless

Something once stirred within my being
Overtaken by mundane obscurity
I've forgotten what it was
Darkness drapes a cloak of comfort about me
Shielding me from the world I learned to hate
Light no longer makes me smile...if it ever did
Loneliness now a welcome friend
Nothing hurts
Nothing hurts

very well-expressed; got me feeling the numbness completely. the cold echo repetition of the closure is very effective indeed. fine write.

Agreed with capt. The feelings poured out through this. Simple, yes. But none the less good.
