Tonite

By Heart of Stone

Tonite it's not a blade
there's no knife sharp enough
to kill this pain.
Tonite it won't be a lighter
there's no flame hot enough
to dry my eyes.
Tonite it won't be tears
there's no duct full enough
to wash it all away.
Tonite it isn't physical
Tonite the pain's too deep
There's nothing left inside
There's no more trying
To make it go away
To make it go away...
