Fallen Drive

By Anaelle

Dry leaves fall freely
Can you see the different colours?
And don't you wish you could be so free?
But I'm the one driving with one hand
(I don't drive so good with my left)
Memorizing the feel of yours
Wondering how it could feel so soft
But I know you're crying inside
I can hear your voice stuck in your throat
Almost feel the quivering lips
How can you expect me to stand straight?
Knowing I'm the one to break you down
How did you get inside my wall?
And now you're going to let me fall...
And a kiss would tear me down
I know I can't stop myself
Once the barrier is broken
(By you)
But I know I'm doing fine
There's no tears in my eyes this time
I'm still hanging on tightly
(To that edge of pain)
Knuckles turned white, straining
With the hate of it all
