Darkside

By Anaelle

I watched the world from my perch on the darkside of the moon
Resting my crazed, sparkling eyes on you
Insanely laughing at your attempts to appear suicidal
Cynically crying at our shared pain
You drove me to this place, you drove me insane
And now you wonder about the glint in my eye
The curve in my lips as I grin down at you
Can you really see me? Hidden in my safe shadows
My form moving against the darkness
Watching, waiting, but as always
Cynically crying at our shared pain
You drove me to this place, you drove me insane
And I battle against my fear, my feelings
Do you even care I hurt?
No, I sit on my throne all high and pretty
Gazing down at you; can you feel my burning eyes?
Cynically crying at our shared pain
You drove me to this place, you drove me insane
