The Past
By _Andrew_
A moment of my life
When smiles were real
And you became my first
And my last
In just one night
My tears might find justification
But not for you
Pending all that i am
For one heart beat
I’ll remember this moment
Always
Time will fade
My heart will go on
Never to stop for you again
Your face once spelt love
In a language I only knew
All I see is crimson
You must feel big
To criticize all that I am
All that I’ve done
All that I’ve said
In just one night

This one knocked me back a bit, simply because it's simple but conveys something intense so beautifully... it sounds like you mean it so much, it's not random words, it's really there. the way you break lines "this moment, Always"... wonderful... sue

This poem embodies such raw emotion. I love it... "My face once spelt love in a language I only knew.." I love that line.
