You Don't Understand

By Anaelle

I'd ask you to explain
But I doubt you could
I'd beg you to take it back
But I don't think you could do that either
I'm tired of holding all this in
But don't know how to let it out
Aside from tears
And you're not helping either
Or maybe you think I have nothing to hold in
That I'm as unfeeling and uncaring as a rock
Yes, you said so yourself
You keep telling me that I'm lucky
That I should be thankful
It's not that I'm not
But it doesn't make what's happened
Hurt any less
But I guess you're blind to that
As well as other things
Have you noticed...
That alot of time you make things worse?
I'm sure you think you're helping though
But you make me feel more alone
More isolated from the rest
I even find it hard to look you in the eye
I'm no longer 'proud' enough to do so
I wish I was numb
I wish I was ignorant of all this
Maybe then it wouldn't hurt as much
Not that you'd understand it
Just like you don't understand any of it
