Why?
By Smiles
I find myself missing the little things
All the laughs and forehead kisses
Inside jokes and movie references
The pouty lip when you wanted something
The giggle and thank you when you got it
The happiness I felt
I find myself missing your smile
The freckles across your nose
The pale icy blue hue of your eyes
The feeling of your hand in mine
The weight of your head on my chest
The softness of your lips
I find myself missing the lie
And what a beautiful lie it was
Perfectly crafted with me as a pawn
It was all meaningless to you
I was meaningless to you
And for what?
I guess I'll never know

It's hard to recover once you gain consciousness of a well crafted lie. I can relate...
