The Darkest Dark
By Shaded_Iris
Do you answer to your demons or
Do they answer to you?
You might need to know the answer
Incase they ever come back for you.
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
If I were to close my eyelids in my bedroom.
And shut off the lights and close the blinds,
it still would not be this dark.
It still wouldn't be this dark.
If I close my eyelids, in my bedroom.
And shut off the light.
Close the blinds.
It would still not be this dark.
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
The darkest dark.
Darker than even with my eyes closed.
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
The darkest dark.
There are no stars.
There's not no stars.
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
The darkest dark.
Darker than when I close my eyes.
There is no truth or certainty.
If I can't observe it directly.
And this is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen.
It's absolute and it's come for me.
This is the Darkest dark I've ever seen.
And it's absolutely coming for me.
I need light.
I'm tired of seeing people die.
This is a war of natural selection.
Did you come for me or my skeleton?
Leave a recipe for forgetting.
2 black widows.
1 rattlesnake in a bag.
Strychnine from the hardware store.
8 cold beer and one heroic dose.
It brings you a large white tunnel.
Bigger than the earth.
Did you take away my life?
Or did I take it first?
Open all 8 beer.
Take a swig from each one.
Refill with the strychnine.
Slam 7.
Sip the last one.
Remove the lids
Pour the widows down the collar of your shirt.
Place your arm in the bag and punch the snake in the face.
Unleash the venom strike.
Burn baby burn!
Burn baby burn.!!
To speed the ending of these tears.
If my heart doesn't burst, take one more
Sip of the beer as if it were the first.
Lean back in your seat.
Crank the music ...
There's a white tunnel in need to be surfed.
Did I take my life or did you take it first?
Burn baby burn!
Burn baby burn!
Follow these instructions and you just might
Leave behind a beautiful corpse.
And a note that read something such.
"God forgive me for I know not what I do."
"I repent of my sins, I couldn't handle being
Thrown away again."
"I'm sorry for wearing a shell that no one could see through."
"I hope I don't owe you money." "You might not be able to collect that
from me."
"And if I owe you nothing I hope that you will remember something good
about me."
and "I didn't do this because I didn't love you."
I didn't mean to become a failure.
I just wanted to let my fire burn.
I just wanted to let my fire burn.
Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn.
They say a strong dog fights to the death.
But this one died because his heart got crushed inside his chest. And three
days before his last breath.
Hats off to the world and to all the others
Who had an early death.
May the wrath of God destroy me because I destroyed myself.
But I assure you, I was destroyed by something else.
Burn baby burn
Burn baby burn
Burn baby burn
Burn, burn, burn baby burn
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
May God destroy me because I destroyed myself.
But I assure you I was destroyed by something else.
I didn't mean to fail.
I just wanted to let my fire
Burn baby burn,
Burn baby burn!
This is the Darkest Dark I've ever seen in my life.
If I were to close my eyelids in my bedroom
shut the light, close the blinds.
It still would not be this dark.

Not that it's so spectacular but here's a musical rendition of this poem. It actually came before it was fully written. https://youtu.be/mQup69UDy70

At first I didn't enjoy it much but then..... the way it escalated... My God, I can relate so much, brother. I'm also going to have a listen to the song soon, I'll let you know. I had a very challenging shroom trip a few days ago which reminds me of this. It's so honest and raw, I love it my friend. Hope you're okay.
